RETORT

The words "ask and it shall be given" had never been so realistic, they had never been so true. I remember fervently asking for you, and shockingly, you I was given. You are my assurance, the renewal of my faith, my belief, and my hope. I look at you and I see the answer to my prayers in flesh.

Peace of mind, happiness, joy, inspiration, love, and strength. You are more than I asked for. And I gave myself to you knowing that I am not worthy to be yours too, but you chose me nevertheless. Despite my shortcomings and ills, you chose me, you loved me, and I am grateful for that.

I see the life I intend for us both, the life I am now asking for us both... You are proof that prayers can be answered, so I know this prayer, this ask, will also be answered.
