I started running Koii Node at January 17, 2024 and I earned around 2,570+ $KOII tokens

By running a Koii node, you will earn passive income, and by completing tasks which is automated, you will earn $KOII tokens, which will be available on tier 1 exchanges very soon!

1:1 is the conversion from your testnet $KOII tokens to mainnet $KOII tokens (Testnet will be 1:1 as Mainnet)

Full Proper Installation Guide

  • Download and install Node.js to prevent javascript errors from running the Koii node

  • Choose the LTS or Current Latest and choose the installer whether you are on Windows or MacOS

No need to install extra files or this tool by the way

A must install if you still don’t have this: Visual C++ and .NET

This may not be related to the Koii Node, but having these installed in your Windows operating system may help you.

Also, keep your browsers (chrome, edge) updated, double check and do windows update too.
Now, next is…

Install it but don’t interact with it yet, follow the instructions carefully

  • Next, install the extension, and before interacting with the faucet, install Finnie wallet first

  • Download Finnie Web3 Wallet (Finnie is the official wallet of the Koii Network). The purpose of this wallet is for mainnet launch, it’s like metamask or phantom wallet

  • By navigating to the Official Koii Faucet, input the referral code. If it says already claimed, no worries you have activated the referral code

You will get 5 KOII tokens from the faucet and extra 5 KOII tokens when you run the node for 7 days from using my referral code

I provided a video visualization from the Official Koii Network for the full installation guide, as well as other videos that provided guides

If you’re still confused on how to run Koii Node, refer to this official instructions provided by the Koii Network

Running on VPS Tutorial

https://docs.koii.network/run-a-node/task-nodes/Running-on-VPS

Tips based on my experience

Run 1–2 tasks when you’re just getting started with the Koii node for a test run and stability.
Once you’ve earned a decent amount of $KOII tokens, add more funds to your staking key: it should be 7, 10, or 15 to cover the gas or network fees from running tasks.

You can do that by transferring some $KOII tokens on your system key to your staking key, just copy the staking key address and transfer.

1. Staking Key

And then try to add more tasks, to earn more but don’t run all tasks if you’re computer or laptop is not high-end. If your PC or laptop can’t handle multiple tasks, avoid running too many. Test the stability of tasks for an hour and choose the ones that work best for you.

If you have a high-end PC with 12–16 or 32GB RAM, SSD or NVME, and a high-end CPU etc., go ahead and run all tasks. It should work seamlessly without any problems or interruptions.

In my experience of running the Koii Node, I am currently running 3–4 tasks and it’s enough to earn for me.

Remember that this is still a testnet or in testnet phase, some tasks are undergoing optimizations, finalizations, and fixes to ensure that they are fully functional and smooth, so expect some difficulties at this time.

Finally, as the project approaches mainnet, more tasks will be added, particularly on mainnet. If you’re having problems, please report them to the Discord server so that they can debug and possibly fix it.

For Twitter Archive label and Key input:
Label: TWITTER_KEYWORD OR KEYWORD
Key Input: #koii or koii (do a test with a hashtag or none to see if it works)

2. Getting Spheron Storage Key

Do not tamper, edit or delete it, when you click the “Get Key” it will automatically generate a unique key for you and it’s saved, so be careful! you can also backup the key in to a notepad for recovery

If you lost, tampered with, or edited the spheron_key and it isn't working or can't be made to work because it's now missing due to your actions, follow these steps:

1. Go to https://app.spheron.network/
2. Register/Sign-up using Web2 -> I recommend Github Account
3. In the upper right corner, you will see your profile, click on it
4. Click Settings
5. Go to Tokens
6. Click the "Create Token"

Name your Token Name

Example:

Token Name: SpheronKey1

7. Type: Storage
8. Scope: (Which is your organization's name on registration)
9. Expiration: 1 Year or No Expiration
10. Copy the key and save it in notepad as a backup, then go to Koii Node and create a label
11. Key Input: (Your Spheron Key)
12. Add and you're done; then add the new spheron_key to your tasks

Documentation: https://docs.koii.network/faq/questions/#q-i-accidently-delete-my-spheron-storage-key-how-to-get-another-one

3. Twitter Credentials

For tasks involving Twitter, log in to Twitter first and also use incognito mode too for making it extra guaranteed to work

Provide the necessary credentials, such as your Twitter username without the @, password, and phone number (use a spacebar if you don’t have a phone number).

Example:

  • Twitter_username: pngjieun

  • Twitter_password: passwordexample123

  • Twitter_phone: (your phone number or a spacebar if no phone number)

As you can see here, this twitter account of mine, does not have a phone number so I just leave space and save, then it should look like this

For getting login reviews in your X notifications or email, it’s normal

4. Reputation Hardening by Staking

Reputation Hardening

  • Stake more $KOII tokens in your existing tasks to build up your reputation.
  • The more you stake, the more trusted your node becomes, ensuring consistent rewards.
  • Keep in mind that staking more won’t grant extra rewards, but it contributes to reputation hardening.
  • Don’t stake too much or it will or might be slashed, balance your stakes on each task.
  • In the future, the Koii Network team said that more tasks will be added where you will get rewarded more if you stake more from that task.

5. Task Extensions, Running on MULTIPLE PC’S/Laptop and Twitter Account

For Twitter Account

Use different twitter accounts, doesn’t need to be verified (the blue check-mark) for each task that contains twitter credentials.

To ensure a successful login, turn off 2FA if you have any.

Success (from the output log of the task)

Example:

ADOT Search AI
TWITTER_USERNAME: pngjieun
TWITTER_PASSWORD: passwordexample123
TWITTER_PHONE: (your phone number, if no phone number then just put space and save)

Archive Twitter
TWITTER_USERNAME: milksteys
TWITTER_PASSWORD: mypassword123
TWITTER_PHONE: (your phone number, if no phone number then just put space and save)

#koii Twitter Archive
TWITTER_USERNAME: milkyways
TWITTER_PASSWORD: galaxy123
TWITTER_PHONE: (your phone number, if no phone number then just put space and save)

Mask Social Feeds
TWITTER_USERNAME: teyvatgenshin
TWITTER_PASSWORD: sustainer123
TWITTER_PHONE: (your phone number, if no phone number then just put space and save)

So technically, you must have different Twitter accounts when enabling those tasks so that it won’t conflict. You can just edit the label by the way to categorize and you won’t be confused. You can add via on the Task Extensions.

Archive Twitter (Twitter Account #1)

Mask Social Feeds (Twitter Account #2)

Example of labeling:

TWITTER_USERNAME1_MASK
TWITTER_USERNAME2_ADOT
TWITTER_USERNAME3_ARCHIVE
TWITTER_PASSWORD1_MASK
TWITTER_PASSWORD2_ADOT
TWITTER_PASSWORD3_ARCHIVE
TWITTER_PHONE1_MASK
TWITTER_PHONE2_ADOT
TWITTER_PHONE3_ARCHIVE

If you still don’t get it, watch the video demo example for a more visual representation

For Running on Multiple PC’s or Laptops

1 Koii Node = 1 wallet
(The unique key address which is the system public key and staking public key)

You can run multiple nodes on the same IP from different devices (PC/Laptop) same IP/ISP But as far as I know, no more than 10.

1 Koii Node in your 1 PC/Laptop = 1 account per 1 Koii Node

Example:

PC : Email account #1 wallet #1
Laptop: Email account #2 wallet #2

Note: It may vary depending on ISP provider, but it is recommended that you run one Koii Node on a single IP/ISP network. However, as far as I know, there are users running 5 (safe level) or 10 (the limit) Koii nodes on the same IP/ISP.

As for work offices or organizations, I'm not sure if it will work or be granted to use Koii Node, but that depends on the ISP provider used by the company for filtering or the firewall to block some things on the network. Overall, you can try or test it to see if it works in offices or workplaces.

You cannot run multiple nodes on the same wallet and on the same PC. This means that if you want to farm KOII tokens on multiple PCs or laptops, you must have one wallet per 1 Node on a PC/Laptop, so you will use different email addresses.

However, you can transfer your KOII tokens to your main Koii account once the mainnet is launched.

Nodes are the backbone of the Koii network, with the primary goal of building a global, decentralized network that will rival the current monopolies on computing power.

By downloading the Koii Node, your laptop or computer can become a part of the global network that aims to revolutionize and democratize the world, as a Task Node that runs Web3 applications.

Running a Koii Node allows you to gain rewards in the form of $KOII tokens, with early adopters receiving higher rewards.

By running a Koii Node, individuals can contribute to the decentralization of the network, gain rewards, and support the development of the Koii ecosystem.

For Reporting Errors since it’s still Testnet:

Run tasks that are not working, then simply test run it right until it would stop, retrying, N/A no submission or has a submission but no rewards and freeze so that it would provide a log.

View the task output log by going to the 3 vertical dots on the menu tab, copy the contents of the log and send the log by creating a ticket for them to debug.

(Don’t forget to name the log file, to identify what’s the name of the task as well as provide the task ID).

Also include your system public key, staking public key, version of Koii node, screenshots, main log, and maybe old main log too.
